| Fire bricks are a preformed refractory brick that is used to line kilns, furnaces, ovens, combustion chambers and fire places. They can withstand high temperatures and have low thermal conductivity. Bricks are mainly used where there is exposure to a 'high wear' area where other materials may break down. They are fixed in place using high temperature mortars and can be easily replaced if damaged or worn. |
